Hello World!

You've seen her; You know her name: Kaska, which is really short for Senorita Kaska de Hansenona; You'd like to pet her; and here she is!!! The official introduction to our 6 month old yellow lab. Kaska, say, "Hello." You probably didn't hear her. You are correct. She doesn't bark - unless she's couped up way too long in her kennel. Last night was the first time she really barked to go outside. Her way of saying "Hi" is a good old fashioned sloppy lick.

Kaska loves playing outside, but especially in the snow. Usually it is a real feat to get her to come in. She's learning, slowly. This picture shows Kaska with her two favorite things to fetch. Hopefully pheasants will become a favorite too.

Kaska also loves whatever you have. It doesn't matter what it is. Really. You could have a piece of the best meat ever or you just finished the back yard "patrol" and she would want to investigate what you have. Her breeders told us this was one of her traits they noticed. They hit that one on the mark. When I took this picture, I was hoping to get a good one of her just sitting. She saw the lens cap cover dangling from the camera and wanted to check it out. HA!

Hope your Advent / Christmas Season is going well. It was about time to introduce you to Kaska.

P.S. Kaska doesn't like hard candy war heads. Try one yourself and you would agree.
